FAQ: Fit Answers Quickly
Eko-Nutrition Empowerment Foundation is a mission-driven organization focused on advancing nutrition education, strengthening food systems, and promoting climate-smart approaches that improve health and livelihoods. We work at the intersection of nutrition, ecology, and community empowerment.
“Eko” represents three connected ideas:
Eko as teaching and knowledge transfer,
Echo as amplifying voices, awareness, and advocacy, and
Eco as ecology, sustainability, and food systems.
Together, they reflect our holistic approach to nutrition and development.
The foundation was established to respond to growing nutrition challenges, food insecurity, climate pressures, and gaps in nutrition education and advocacy. We exist to equip individuals and communities with knowledge, tools, and systems that support long-term wellbeing.
We serve:
Communities facing nutrition and food system challenges
Students and early-career professionals in nutrition and public health
Women, youth, and vulnerable populations
Institutions and partners working toward sustainable development
Our work is rooted in Nigeria, with a vision to expand across Africa through partnerships, research, advocacy, and digital platforms.
Volunteers are expected to:
Align with our values and mission
Show willingness to learn and contribute
Work collaboratively and responsibly
Respect timelines, ethics, and community context
